Olabisi Onabanjo University Post-UTME Screening Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State
1
Minimum Requirements (Eligibility Basics)
📊
JAMB Score
160 is what OOU usually uses as least cutoff to obtain the Post-UTME form. It is not yet officially confirmed for this year. It only makes you eligible — it does NOT guarantee admission.
🎯
First Choice
OOU must be your first choice on JAMB CAPS. Change it if needed before or during screening.
📝
O'Level Results
At least 5 credits (including English & Maths), maximum 2 sittings. Must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS — if not, no admission even with a high score.
🎂
Age Requirement
At least 16 years old by September.
📚
Subject Combination
Must match your course exactly (check the JAMB brochure). Wrong combination = automatic disqualification.
2
Screening Format & What to Expect
🖥️
CBT
OOU ICT Centre, Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye
~50
Questions to Answer
⏱️
30–45
Minutes Duration

Questions are drawn from your JAMB subjects plus possible current affairs. English sections may cover comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and idioms.

💡 Pro Tip: Time is short — speed & accuracy matter. Practice past questions consistently before your screening date!
3
Aggregate Score Calculation
⚠️ This is NOT the official calculation method yet
JAMB Score ÷ 8 = max 50 points
Post-UTME = max 50 points
─────────────────────
Final Aggregate = JAMB + Post-UTME
📌 Example: 240 in JAMB → 240 ÷ 8 = 30 points. Add your Post-UTME score to get your final aggregate.
Minimum aggregate is typically around 40–50% depending on your course. A higher aggregate always gives you better chances.
🔥 Competitive Courses — Medicine, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy, Mass Comm, Engineering, Computer Science — require much higher scores. Aim for 200+ in JAMB plus a strong Post-UTME performance.
4
Competitive Reality
❌ Low Score Warning
160 is just a baseline from previous years — it is not enough for competitive courses. Know your chances honestly.
✅ Less Competitive Courses
Some departments may accept lower aggregates. Research the cutoff trends for your specific course.
🏛️ Important: Admission is processed strictly through JAMB CAPS. There is no "connection" or manual admission pathway — don't fall for scammers.
5
Common Mistakes to Avoid ❌
🚫Not uploading your O'Level results to JAMB CAPS
🚫Using the wrong subject combination for your course
🚫Not showing up for the Post-UTME screening at all
🚫Getting a low Post-UTME score that drags down your aggregate
🚫Missing application or screening deadlines
🚫Using unofficial or fake portals for registration
🚫Not practicing past JAMB and Post-UTME questions
🚫Applying to a highly competitive course with a low score and no backup plan
